한국생명존중희망재단과 한국건강가정진흥원이 힘을 합쳐 결혼이민자와 외국인 자살 시도자를 위한 다국어 지원 체계를 마련했어요. 이 소식은 많은 분께 큰 희망이 될 것 같아요.
The Korea Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the Korea Institute for Healthy Family have partnered to create a multilingual support system for marriage immigrants and foreigners who have attempted suicide. We believe this news will bring great hope to many.
그동안 외국인 자살 시도자분들의 경우, 언어적인 문제로 인해 도움을 받을 수 있는 방법에 대한 안내가 충분히 전달되지 않아 신속한 개입이 어려운 상황이었다고 해요.
It has been said that previously, in the case of foreign suicide attempters, rapid intervention was difficult because information about how to get help was not sufficiently communicated due to language problems.
하지만 이제 언어 장벽 때문에 도움을 받기 어려웠던 애로사항이 적극적으로 해결될 것으로 기대됩니다. 진흥원의 다누리콜센터가 다양한 언어로 번역과 통역을 지원하여, 외국인분들이 자신의 권리와 도움을 받을 수 있는 방법을 더 잘 이해할 수 있도록 도와줄 거예요.
However, it is now expected that the difficulties in receiving help due to language barriers will be actively resolved. The Danuri Call Center will provide translation and interpretation in various languages, helping foreigners to better understand their rights and how to get help.
이 협력은 자칫하면 소외되기 쉬운 자살 고위험군을 위해 보다 촘촘한 자살예방 안전망을 구축하고 지원체계를 마련하는 데 큰 역할을 할 것입니다. 어려움을 겪는 모든 분들이 필요한 도움을 받을 수 있기를 바랍니다.
This collaboration will play a significant role in establishing a more robust suicide prevention safety net and a support system for high-risk groups who can easily be marginalized. We hope that everyone experiencing difficulties can receive the help they need.
