Day 54 of the TOPIK 60-Day Course! Today is all about intensively reviewing the vocabulary and grammar you've gotten wrong so far, using your error notes. This will be a time to compensate for your weaknesses and truly master confusing expressions.

오답 노트 활용 전략 (Strategy for Using Error Notes)

1. 주기적인 복습: 틀린 문제와 개념은 시간이 지남에 따라 잊히기 쉽습니다. 주간 또는 월간 단위로 꾸준히 복습해야 합니다.

Periodic Review: Incorrect problems and concepts are easily forgotten over time. You should review them consistently on a weekly or monthly basis.

2. 오류 분석: 왜 틀렸는지 정확히 파악하는 것이 중요합니다. 단순히 답만 외우기보다, 어떤 유형의 실수를 반복하는지 분석합니다.

Error Analysis: It's crucial to understand exactly why you made a mistake. Rather than just memorizing answers, analyze what type of errors you repeatedly make.

1. -(으)ㄹ 뿐만 아니라 (Not only... but also)

의미: 어떤 사실에 더하여 다른 사실이 덧붙여짐을 나타낼 때 사용합니다.

Meaning: Used when another fact is added to a certain fact.

주의: 뒤에 오는 내용이 앞 내용과 비슷하거나 더 강화된 내용일 때 사용합니다.

Caution: Used when the following content is similar to or stronger than the preceding content.

예문:

가: 그 배우는 연기를 잘할 뿐만 아니라 노래도 잘해요.

The actor not only acts well but also sings well.

나: 이 식당은 분위기가 좋을 뿐만 아니라 음식도 맛있어요.

This restaurant not only has a good atmosphere but also delicious food.

2. -는 김에 (While doing something, take the opportunity to do something else)

의미: 어떤 일을 하는 기회에 다른 어떤 일까지 함께 할 때 사용합니다.

Meaning: Used when you take the opportunity to do something else while doing a certain task.

주의: 주로 앞선 행동이 주된 목적이 아닐 때, 혹은 앞선 행동으로 인해 부수적으로 다른 일을 할 수 있을 때 사용합니다.

Caution: Mainly used when the preceding action is not the main purpose, or when you can do something else incidentally due to the preceding action.

예문:

가: 마트에 가는 김에 우유 좀 사다 줄 수 있어요?

Can you buy some milk while you're going to the supermarket?

나: 서울에 출장 가는 김에 친구도 만났어요.

I met a friend while I was on a business trip to Seoul.

결정 (決定) - Decision (무엇을 어떻게 할 것인지 분명하게 정함)

Ex) 회의에서 중요한 결정을 내렸습니다. (A significant decision was made at the meeting.)

결정 (結晶) - Crystal (액체가 굳어져 단단한 형태로 변한 것; 노력의 결과물)

Ex) 이 작품은 작가의 땀과 노력의 결정입니다. (This work is the culmination of the artist's sweat and effort.)

💡 TOPIK 문제 풀이 팁 (TOPIK Problem Solving Tip)

오답 노트는 단순히 틀린 것을 기록하는 것을 넘어, 자신의 학습 패턴을 이해하는 도구입니다. 어떤 유형의 문제에서 실수가 잦은지, 특정 문법이나 어휘에 약한지 파악하여 다음 학습 계획에 반영하세요. 특히, 쓰기 문제에서는 문법적 오류가 감점 요인이 되므로, 반복적으로 틀리는 문법은 예문을 통해 완전히 익히는 것이 중요합니다.

2. 문맥을 고려하지 않고 단어만 외우는 경우: 유사어, 반의어, 다의어 등은 반드시 문맥 속에서 어떻게 사용되는지 예문을 통해 익혀야 합니다. 혼동 어휘는 특히 더 그렇습니다.

Memorizing words without considering context: Synonyms, antonyms, and polysemous words must be learned through examples, understanding how they are used in context. This is especially true for confusing vocabulary.
