모바일 외국인등록증 발급 방법은 간단합니다. 두 가지 방법 중 편한 것을 선택하세요.
(Issuing the Mobile Alien Registration Card is simple. Choose one of the two convenient methods:)

• IC 칩이 내장된 외국인등록증 소지: 스마트폰 뒷면에 카드를 태그하여 본인 인증 후 발급받을 수 있습니다.
  With an IC chip Alien Registration Card: You can get it issued after authenticating yourself by tagging the card to the back of your smartphone.
• 출입국·외국인관서 방문: 가까운 출입국·외국인관서를 방문하여 전용 QR코드를 촬영하여 발급받을 수도 있습니다.
  Visit an Immigration Office: You can also get it issued by visiting a nearby immigration office and scanning a dedicated QR code.

IC 외국인등록증은 기존 카드와 디자인 및 기능이 동일하며, 스마트폰을 바꾸더라도 간편하게 모바일 신분증을 재발급(jaebalgup - re-issue)받을 수 있어 편리합니다.
(The IC Alien Registration Card has the same design and functions as the existing card, and even if you change your smartphone, you can easily re-issue your mobile ID.)

🏢 사용 범위 및 법적 효력 Scope of Use and Legal Validity

모바일 외국인등록증은 기존의 플라스틱 카드와 동일한 법적 효력(dong-ilhan beopjeok hyoryeok)을 가집니다.
(The Mobile Alien Registration Card has the same legal validity as the existing plastic card.)

은행, 관공서, 편의점 등 신분 확인이 필요한 모든 온·오프라인 장소에서 실물 카드 대신 사용할 수 있습니다. 정부는 이 새로운 디지털 신분증 을/를 통해(tong-hae - through) 개인정보를 더욱 안전하게 보호하고, 외국인 여러분이 겪을 수 있는 불편함을 해소(haeso - alleviate)하고자 합니다.
(You can use it in place of your physical card at all online and offline locations. The government aims through this new digital ID to further protect personal information and alleviate inconveniences.)
