디지털 IP 엔터테인먼트 기업 IPX(구 라인프렌즈)가 지드래곤(G-DRAGON)과 손잡고 그의 정체성을 담은 공식 캐릭터 IP(지식재산권) ‘ZO&FRIENDS’(조앤프렌즈)를 공개했다.
Digital IP entertainment company IPX (formerly LINE FRIENDS) has partnered with G-DRAGON to unveil 'ZO&FRIENDS,' an official character IP (intellectual property) embodying his identity.
이번 협업은 다양한 글로벌 IP 비즈니스를 통해 창의적인 역량을 쌓은 IPX와 음악과 패션계를 종횡무진으로 활동한 지드래곤의 협업으로 관심을 모았다.
This collaboration garnered attention as a joint effort between IPX, which has built creative capabilities through various global IP businesses, and G-Dragon, who has been active across the music and fashion industries.
‘조앤프렌즈’는 지드래곤의 반려묘인 조이를 캐릭터로 표현한 조아(ZOA)와 그의 심볼인 ‘데이지’를 앤(A&NE)으로 형상화하는 등 지드래곤의 취향과 그가 일상에서 받은 영감을 IPX의 창의력에 더해 캐릭터로 탄생시켰다.
'ZO&FRIENDS' was created by adding G-Dragon's tastes and inspirations from his daily life to IPX's creativity, such as expressing G-Dragon's pet cat Joy as the character ZOA, and symbolizing his daisy as A&NE, among other things.
IPX 측은 “이번 지드래곤과의 협업으로 진행된 ‘조앤프렌즈’는 지드래곤의 감성을 동화적이고 상징적인 소재로 풀어내 예술성과 대중성을 모두 갖춘 캐릭터 IP로 성장할 것으로 기대된다”며 “지드래곤의 세계관과 IPX의 스토리텔링 역량이 어우러져 새로운 형태의 IP로 신선한 반향을 일으킬 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
IPX stated, “'ZO&FRIENDS,' created through this collaboration with G-Dragon, is expected to grow into a character IP with both artistic and popular appeal by expressing G-Dragon's sensibilities through fairy-tale and symbolic elements. We plan to create a fresh impact with a new form of IP, combining G-Dragon's worldview and IPX's storytelling capabilities.”
