Hello! This is the Korean Dream Blog. Many foreigners dream of getting a job in Korea, but one of the biggest barriers is Korean language proficiency. Many people are especially curious about what TOPIK score is needed to get a job at a Korean company. Today, through a conversation between Grace and Mike, we will talk about the realistic TOPIK levels required for Korean employment and their importance.

Grace: Since coming here, I've felt even more that it is advantageous that the higher your TOPIK level, the better job types with better conditions you can choose, and it's much more advantageous in terms of visas and monthly salary.

Mike: 단순 노동직은 급수가 크게 중요하지 않다는 이야기도 들었는데?
Mike: I also heard that for simple labour jobs, the level isn't that important, is that right?
Grace가 답했습니다.

Mike: 맞아. TOPIK은 단순한 시험이 아니라, 한국에서 일할 수 있는 언어 능력 인증서 같은 거네. 정말 중요하다고 생각해. 한국 사회에서 우리의 능력을 증명하는 하나의 방법으로서.
Mike: Right. TOPIK isn't just a simple test, but rather like a language proficiency certificate that allows you to work in Korea. I think it's really important, as one method for proving our abilities in Korean society.
