Having secured their 11th consecutive World Cup finals appearance, Hong Myung-bo's squad has finalized its 23-man roster for the 2025 East Asian Football Federation (EAFF) E-1 Championship (hereinafter referred to as the East Asian Cup), to be held in Korea in July.

대한축구협회는 오늘(23일) 홈페이지를 통해 동아시안컵(7월 7∼16일)에 출전하는 23명의 선수 명단을 발표했습니다.
The Korea Football Association announced today (the 23rd) the 23-player roster for the East Asian Cup (July 7-16) via its website.
💡 동아시안컵은 국제축구연맹(FIFA) A매치 기간에 열리지 않아 국외파 선수들은 출전 의무가 없습니다.
💡 The East Asian Cup is not held during FIFA's international match windows, so overseas players are not obligated to participate.
이에 따라 홍명보 감독은 국내 K리그와 동아시아 지역에서 활약하는 선수들 위주로 선수단을 꾸렸습니다. 23명 가운데 일본 J리그에서 뛰는 선수는 3명이고, 나머지 20명은 K리그(K리그1 19명·K리그2 1명) 소속 선수입니다.
Consequently, Coach Hong Myung-bo assembled the squad primarily with players from the domestic K League and other East Asian leagues. Of the 23 players, 3 play in Japan's J League, and the remaining 20 are from the K League (19 from K League 1, 1 from K League 2).

홍 감독은 2023년 6월 이후 태극마크를 달지 못했던 공격수 나상호(마치다 젤비아)를 2년 만에 호출했습니다.
Coach Hong called up forward Na Sang-ho (Machida Zelvia) after a two-year hiatus, his last national team appearance being in June 2023.
Korean forward with 2 goals in 28 international matches, participated in the 2022 East Asian Cup.
또한 2026 북중미 월드컵 아시아지역 3차 예선에서 활약한 스트라이커 오세훈(마치다 젤비아)을 비롯해 K리그1에서 가장 발끝이 뜨거운 공격수 전진우(전북)도 발탁되었습니다.
In addition, striker Oh Se-hoon (Machida Zelvia), who performed well in the 2026 North America World Cup Asian Qualifiers Round 3, and Jeon Jin-woo (Jeonbuk), currently the hottest forward in K League 1, were also selected.

Tall striker Lee Ho-jae (Pohang) earned his first national team call-up. Along with Lee Ho-jae, a total of 7 players, including Kim Tae-hyun (Kashima), Byun Jun-soo (Gwangju), Seo Myung-kwan (Ulsan), Kim Tae-hyun (Jeonbuk), Seo Min-woo (Gangwon), and Lee Seung-won (Gimcheon), were selected for the national team for the first time.

홍명보호는 7월 7일 오후 8시 중국, 7월 11일 오후 8시 홍콩, 7월 15일 오후 7시 24분 일본(이상 용인미르스타디움)과 차례로 맞붙습니다.
Hong Myung-bo's team will face China on July 7th at 8 PM, Hong Kong on July 11th at 8 PM, and Japan on July 15th at 7:24 PM (all at Yongin Mir Stadium) in sequence.
